As much as I love perusing gift ideas online, I often stick to my favorites and classics when it comes to gifting the people in my life. Many of my gift guides (this one included) include pieces that I currently use, am eyeing myself, and/or have gifted in the past and have been big winners. I like to think of them as my very own Oprah’s Favorite Things – Sarah’s Favorite Things!
As with the gifts for men, do make sure to read through it all as I’ve included a lot of sneaky links in each description. Happy gifting!
Jenni Kayne Saturday Sweatshirt and Sweatpants – I’ll admit, when I first saw these I didn’t get the hype, but after trying them on in store when we were in LA, I’m totally sold. They are so incredibly soft and the perfect fit (even for us petite gals). Use code SRP15 for 15% off your order! Do note, it’s hand wash and line dry, for a lower maintenance option that’s 100% organic cotton, try Mate The Label’s joggers and sweatshirt. It’s not as soft because it’s french terry, but just as comfy and cozy.
Crown Affair Hair Towel – I’ve had mine for several years and swear by it. It’s helps prevent breakage and frizz and dries the hair much faster than a good ole bath towel. Also highly recommend their hair oil – it adds a bit of shine and help keep frizz at bay.
La Bouche Rouge Lipstick and Refillable Monogrammed Case – something about a personalized item makes it feel extra special. You can choose from one of their many colors (I currently have Le Nude Claire Rose) or you make a custom color and the refillable lipsticks are 100% recyclable. If she’s more or a lip balm gal, Henné’s lip tint is super hydrating and provides just enough color. I always have a tube of Bare in my bag.
Ceremonia Scalp Oil – can’t say enough good things about this oil. Not only does it smell divine, but after just one use I noticed that my hair was smoother and my scalp less irritated.
Nette Chai Latte Candle – you can never go wrong with a scented candle and this one is currently my fave. My two favorite brands for candles atm are Nette and La Botica. Both are female-founded and have beautifully well-rounded scents. Also love that once the candle has completely burned, it can be cleaned out and used as a container or mug!
LouLou Studio Ratino Sweater – while clothing can be tricky to gift, I feel like you can’t go wrong with a cashmere sweater or accessory. I love this crewneck and have been contemplating getting another color. It’s slightly oversized, but the perfect knit to take her through fall, winter and into spring. You can purchase it from Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter or FarFetcch, however I’ve noticed if you buy direct from them, you save a bit on the price.
Cuyana Travel Set – I’ve had mine for many years now and I never travel without it! My Mom has these too. There are tons of colors to choose from making it an easy gift to tailor to her color palette.
Skincare – I think some of the best deals during the holidays are skincare and beauty sets. It’s the perfect, more economical, way to test out some otherwise products. I love Tata Harper’s sets (this one is a great starter kit as is this one), as well as Furtuna Skin, True Botanicals (I love all three of these products) and goop. If you really want to indulge, go for one of Barbara Sturm’s sets. I know it’s pricey, but this set looks like a screaming deal.
Goop Body Butter – as the woman in the goop Brentwood store said when I first tried this, “it gives me legs that I didn’t know I had”…chicken skin be gone! It’s like the Khiel’s Creme de Corps but better. Lighter-weight, equally moisturizing if not more, and not greasy at all. Chris even loves this one.
Baroque Pearl Hoop Earrings – I will never stop raving about these. I wear them (without the pearl) almost daily and then if I want to dress up something I throw on the pearl. Use the code SARAH10 at checkout for 10% off.
Jenni Kayne Shearling Slippers – can’t go wrong with chic cozy slippers. I’ve had my eye on Jenni Kayne for years, and have committed to gifting them to myself this year. (SRP15 will also work on these for 15% off!) Alternatively, if you think she wants something she can pop outside in, these might be more her speed.
Anderson’s Leather Belt – I wear this at least a few times a week. Can’t go wrong with it! It sells out, but I’m 99% sure it’s part of their core collection so add it to your wishlist and you’ll get notified when it comes back in stock. I also really love this nubuck one.
The Manicurist at Home Gel Kit – I’m honestly shocked that I have not seen this everywhere. If she likes having her nails done, hates that it always chips, and/or doesn’t want to get gel in a salon for various reasons this could be the perfect gift for her. (I kind of want to snag it for myself and test it out).
Filippa K Mika Yak Funnelneck Sweater – I’ve always loved Filippa K knits and after reading a fascinating article about yak, I’m very intrigued by this sweater! I love the chocolate brown…naturally.
Shop The Curated Shoulder Bag – the perfect timeless (Celine-esq) bag at a very reasonable price point. If she’s a classic girl or her style is a bit more refined, you can’t go wrong with this bag. It also comes in black.
Honna Pajama Set – these (also come in blue) have been on my radar for a couple of years. I love the wide green and white stripe and that they are 100% organic cotton. Skin makes beautiful lounge and sleepwear, often from natural fibers. If she can’t be bothered with sets or nightgowns, then she’s probably more like me in which case she will love Mate The Labels sleep separates (I have 3 pairs of the pajama pants).
For something more luxurious, I love my ASCENO silk pajamas, although I seldom sleep in them…I usually wear them out during the day or at night
Totême Shearling Jacket – definitely a splurge, but absolutely gorgeous. I also really love arje shearling jackets – and that they are reversible!
Henry Rose Discovery Set – unless you know her signature scent, perfumes can be tricky business to gift. I like to go with a perfume sampler instead. It gives her the opportunity to test out new fragrances without committing to a whole bottle. You can’t go wrong with historic French brands like Fragonard and Guerlain that have been making perfume for over a century. For cleaners scents, my favorites are Henry Rose, St. Rose, and Maison Louis Marie. I’d also check out Etat Libre d’Orange, I absolutely love Noel Au Balcon, and of course Le Labo, Thé Matcha has been my go-to as of late.
Travel Vanity Light – I love that she can use this at home or on the road, and that it has 3 light settings.
xx
