Guest of wedding – tis the almost season right! On a daily basis my style is definitely more minimal and paired down, but when it comes to weddings or dressy events I love to mix it up a little with color and or a fun silhouette etc. A few favorites below!
Formal event – I’m a sucker for anything that requires me to dress up. I invested in this Sei dress last year for a black tie wedding and still love it to this day. I would have loved to go for a bit more drama, but given that it was coming out of my pocket I wanted something timeless that I could also wear for a cocktail dress code. A few options below for you!
Chelsea boot sub $200 – I would definitely check out The Outlet (this chunkier style for $70?!) and The Real Real (eh hem, old Prada, albeit men’s, for $172) for this! It’s such a timeless style, you’re bound to find a really solid pair at that budget. Love this heeled version of a Chelsea (although slightly over budget). Flattered is a great resource for chic affordable boots and I hear they wear well. The Franca and the Lucile are the closest to a Chelsea, and I also really love This Beckett Simonon pair looks like great bang for your buck if you’re going new. Also this Thursday Boot Co pair. They have a ton of Chelsea styles you can peruse depending on what you’re going for.
Summer bag – I’ve been collecting spring/summer bags for all of the summer travels I want to take. Spring and summer are a great time to mix in raffia and woven textures as well as lighter shades of tan/beige and off-white. Also noteworthy – Polene. They makes beautiful high quality handbags.
Jewelry and watches – as I’m sure you know by now I’m a sucker for KINN (use SARAH10 for 10% off). I’ve also had luck with Mejuri and Au Rate for 14K and 18K gold pieces. I also just discovered Lié Studio and purchased these and love! They’re two earrings in one (my fave haha). As I’ve gotten older I’ve found myself investing in pieces that won’t create more work for me, for example pieces that easily tarnish or need to be re-dipped. Then again, sometimes I just want a fun earring that I don’t have to drop hundreds of dollars on. A few other brands that I love and have had my eye on – J.Hannah, Catbird, Lié Studio, Laura Lombardi, Amarillo, Jenni Kwon (much pricier, but such lovely pieces), Agmes.
When it comes to watches, I’ll admit, I’m no enthusiast (my husband definitely is and is my go to on all things watches). I’ve found that I gravitate toward the old school Cartier styles as well as vintage watches, like circa early 1900’s, that look more like bracelets than watches. I have a Cartier tank that Chris gifted me for our 1 year anniversary (it always feels so special when he gives me a watch because I know how much he loves them) that I wear daily. I also really love the Cartier Panthère watch.
White summer dresses – Firm believe in that one can never have too many white summer dresses. A few favorites below, but something I will definitely continue to save going into spring and summer!
White jeans for spring/summer – I just got these jeans from Slvrlake and absolutely love. Great thing about them is that they have a raw hem so if I want them shorter all I need to do is cut them. I also have these RAEY jeans (great for petites – sadly mostly sold out, but on sale if you’re a 23, 24 or 28) as well as these jeans from Levi’s. I’m personally keeping an eye out for wide leg and straight leg white denim myself – a few of my favorites below! I typically for something that is more off-white simply because I love the look of a crisp white tee paired with slightly off white jeans, but threw a few pure white options in just in case.
Neutral dress for newborn pics (sub $350) – Aw congratulations! Given the season I would go for something that you can take into spring and summer in the white, off-white, beige family. (I don’t know why but new born pics always feel light and airy to me?) A few options that I’d go for if I were taking newborn pics. Also any of the white dresses above!
