Top Of Mind: Spring Style

spring summer outfit inspiration

With the air definitely smelling more like Spring and the weather warming up ever so slightly, I’ve got my eye on a few pieces pieces to add to my closet this season.

1.

It’s public knowledge that I love simple understated jewelry and everything that KINN studio does. I love supporting small female-founded brands that produce and manufacture in a responsible way. Their pieces are quickly taking over my jewelry box! When I was in LA I had the opportunity to pop into their studio and try on all of the pieces that I had my eye on. They are just as gorgeous in person! I’ve slowly been building up my collection over the years and decided this necklace and this necklace are next on my wishlist. Perfect on their own or layered with other baubles.

2.

I’ve been having a bit of a moment with all things jade and recently fell in love with this Anine Bing blazer when I popped into the Teller Shop. It’s the perfect shade of green that I think will last season over season. I could easily see this with denim, linen trousers, over a white sundress or paired with a pair of tailored shorts.

3.

Apparently straight jeans have officially taken over skinny jeans and I’m not mad about it. I often find myself gravitating towards the straight leg jeans that I own leaving many of my skinny jeans to gather dust. I’ve been keeping an eye out for denim that either hits at the top of my foot or that I can hem to do so to pair with heels. AGOLDE is often my first stop and sure enough found this pair right off the bat. Toteme and RAEY have great options as well.

4.

I’m a firm believer in that one of the easiest ways to change up a favorite outfit or spruce it up is with accessories. Now that we’re heading into the sunnier months of the year I’ve been hunting for sunglasses that are something other than my go-to aviator or prescription Warby Parker’s. I recently stumbled across these Chimi sungless and might give them a shot.

5.

I’ve had “neutral strappy heeled sandals” on my footwear wishlist for a good two years and I think this might be the year that I add a pair or two to that category. Warm weather shoes overall have been occupying a lot of brain space as I find it too warm to wear boots. I recently came across this Dear Frances pair and instantly fell in love. I’ve been looking for a pair that I could easily throw on with jeans and a top for dinner or wear with a summer dress on vacation and these fit the bill. AEYDE and Staud also has a handful of styles that are perfect for Spring and Summer.

6.

Another silhouette that I’ve recently been on the hunt for, especially for cooler Spring days is a sweater vest – but a chic one. For me that’s something with a deeper V in a white, off-white, or beige color. LouLou Studio had one a season or two ago that I’m kicking myself for not buying, but this Anine Bing one is a worthy alternative.

7.

There’s nothing that says Spring like a good pair of loafers paired with cropped denim and a light knit. Unlike some of the more chunky soled loafers floating around these days, I prefer a sleeker silhouette with a square or almond toe for a more elevated look. I love this suede Neil J. Rodger pair (very similar to these but about half the price) for absolute everything. AEYDE also has a few pairs at a slightly lower price point!

8.

I think stripes are in the same family as white clothing items – no two are the same and I can justify each one in my closet. I’ve been wanting to get the La Ligne Marin Sweater and love this black and white color as opposed to the usual white and navy color combo that you see everywhere. Perfect for those chilly days or when the sun goes down.

9.

Thinking it’s time for adult shoulder bag and I’m leaning towards something brown and classic. This A.P.C bag caught my eye, but I’m also loving this Staud number or this one as well in a similar color.
